AC Milan defender, Simon Kjaer, is the captain of Denmark's national team. The Experienced Dane defender, who is currently out due to injury until the end of the season, is looking forward to being part of the squad that will go to Qatar.
Denmark have been drafted in the World Cup Group D with France, Tunisia and another national team to be determined from the international playoffs.
Here are Kjaer's words on this occasion:
"We are looking forward to the World Cup and we are proud to play against the best in the world. We have an exciting group. It's nice to meet France. A strong opponent, with whom we played 0-0 in the last World Cup. and that we will have to face twice before the World Cup in the Nations League. Tunisia are a rare opponent for us, but it is always interesting to meet teams from other continents in the World Cup, and then there is a still unknown opponent. We will go to the World Cup to win every match."
Kjaer added:
"We dream of winning trophies with this team and I think we can now say that we have to pass this group."
