AC Milan boss, Stefano Pioli, spoke to the microphones of Milan TV after the draw against Bologna. Here are his statements:
"The analysis is simple, the team played, fought and ran. However, we were not very precise in the penalty area. This compromised the result, certainly not the performance. We only conceded something at the beginning."
He continued:
"On the occasion of Calabria, for example, Davide could score but Diaz was free ... If with 33 shots we didn't score it means that we lacked effectiveness, I would not speak of luck and bad luck."
Is there a physical problem?
"I don't think so, I think the team is doing well. Tonight, we played with intensity and high rhythms from start to finish: we know how it works with the forwards. Sometimes you hit it badly and it goes inside, other times you hit it too well and it doesn't go in… We'll try to do better."
Pioli concluded:
"Ibra and Giroud playing together? No, because Bologna's defence was too tight. Playing with 4 offensive players became all a long ball thrown in at random, I preferred to keep Leao inside who gave more space."
