There is much to talk about today regarding the news linking Bahrain-based investment fund InvestCorp to the possible purchase of the AC Milan club.
Milan Reports have contacted the fund's press department who have declined to offer a comment for now.
Many sources have confirmed that the investment fund is in exclusive talks to purchase the club.
Milan Reports understands, thanks to information from director and correspondent Vito Angelè, that Elliott would be ready to sell the club immediately if an attractive offer arrives, despite not having been able to start the construction of the new stadium.
Elliott's position in this situation explained:
Elliott's has taken advantage of an opportunity by taking over the club for a low sum after the bankruptcy of Yonghong Li. Elliott's objective is to generate a capital gain thanks to the sale of the club, the role of the fund is precisely only that.
In recent years, the hedge fund management has become attached to the Milan project (we have often seen Gordon Singer at the San Siro) but this does not change the vision of a company that is ready to sell the club immediately.
In fact, we understand that Elliott would have wanted to sell the club after having built the stadium, but the continuous postponements on the part of the municipality and the bureaucracy could cause Elliott to decide to sell the club now. Moreover, rumours close to the club confirm, although not yet officially, the existence of the negotiations for a possible sale.
