Bahrain-based investment fund InvestCorp have reportedly suspended their offer to purchase the AC Milan football club from Elliott Management Corporation.
Reports claim that the Arab fund is abandoning the race to buy the club after not being able to find an agreement with Elliott regarding the structure of the economic offer. This leaves a clear path forward for American company RedBird who have now put on the table a better proposal.
According to a report shared by La Repubblica, The Arab fund Investcorp, which has just pulled out of the auction with the American investment company RedBird for the purchase of AC Milan, had Inter as its first goal, but changed course due to the club's higher debts. Now, it remains to be seen if the Bahraini-fund will choose to return to evaluate a purchase of Inter or find another opportunity elsewhere.
