AC Milan club, currently owned by US based investment fund, Elliott Management Corporation, are harvesting the fruit of hard work done in the last years. The project has finally led to a major trophy, won by Stefano Pioli and his players.
According to multiple reports RedBird would be close to striking an agreement soon with the current club owners for the purchase of the Serie A giants. There have also been reports that the deal may be closed on the basis of 1.3 billion euros with Elliott staying as minority shareholders.
As per Italian media outlet SportMediaset, there are two reasons why the Investment fund wants to stay involved with the club. First, there is the stadium question. Waiting until the stadium is built would drive the club's share to a higher price. Then, the second reason is that Gordon Singer's affection to the club has grown a lot.
In recent days, we've seen Gordon Singer, and his father Paul Singer who is the owner and founder of Elliott, celebrating on the team bus. Gordon in particular was showing so much passion and emotions by singing with the players and fans (see here).
