Former AC Milan star Alexandre Pato, who is still a fan-favourite to many Rossoneri supporters has granted an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport to discuss the words of Paolo Maldini.
Here are the Brazilian forward's statements:
"What will happen to Maldini? I am in America (playing for Orlando City) and I have a hard time interpreting situations. But one thing I can say: Americans are unlikely to enter a club and change the things that work. Paolo Maldini is the centre of AC Milan. But, he is also the manager who has shown he knows how to manage the group. He is an important element even now, he is not just the man who made the history of Milan."
Pato added:
"Those who make history receive respect, but now Paolo is more than that because he has shown that he is also a top director. I don't think the new owner will want to deprive themselves of him. I can't imagine a Milan without Maldini."
