Franco Carraro, former president of CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) and also president of Italian League of Serie A and B (1973–1976) and president of Italian Football Federation (1976–1978), spoke about Elliott Management Corporation's work with AC Milan to the microphones of 'La politica nel pallone' and said the following words:
"The Elliott fund at Milan has done an extraordinary job, which benefited the fund itself with a large capital gain in the sale but also the fans themselves."
He continued to talk about Elliott and the Rossoneri club:
"AC Milan has shown that good economic results and excellent sporting results can be achieved by managing with logic. It was a brilliant idea to take Ibrahimovic who has become the leader of this team on and off the pitch. Milan is a good example for Italian football."
