Dutch central defender of French club Lille, Sven Botman, has been followed by AC Milan for months. There were reports about Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara attempting to sign him since January. He is the first choice of the club directors as they aim to reinforce the defensive department of the squad for coach Stefano Pioli and give him more quality options going into the new season campaign.
According to what is reported by Tuttosport in today's print edition, AC Milan could start evaluating another trail which does not lead to the former Ajax talent. In fact, there is another name who is the plan B in event of failure to sign the Lille star.
The player in question is Gleison Bremer who was also linked with a move to the Rossoneri. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara could choose to focus on him instead of Botman. But, Inter and Tottenham are also very interested in securing his signature too.
