Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will continue at AC Milan as club directors. Their current deals expire in a few days but, extensions are expected.
Gerry Cardinale is keen on keeping the the technical management and had direct contacts with Paolo Maldini in which he also revealed the budget for the new season which should be around 45 million euros with the possibility of raising the current amount of wages of 15/20% overall, no more.
As per Calciomercato.com, Paolo Maldini is not happy with this but he will accept the offer to continue as the director because he has faith in the team that won the Scudetto and also because he trusts the head coach Stefano Pioli. The legendary Rossonero number 3 is also hoping that Gerry Cardinale would raise the bar in the next years.

Not sure this Cardinale guy has the money. What these owners are doing buying major European teams without the capital to invest us beyond me. I think we would have seen a better future under Investcorp. I really don’t understand Elliotts motives. Would be glad to see both REDBIRD and Elliott out.
We’ll have to wait and judge after the transfer market ends. Meanwhile with a smaller budget, Milan will have to be creative in their choices in the mercato.
