Matteo Gabbia's future is uncertain, surely. The Italian centre-back, product of the Rossoneri youth academy made only 10 appearances in the latest season under the guidance of head coach Stefano Pioli. Now, it is not excluded that a move for the player materialises in the coming transfer market window which officially opens on July 1st in Italy.
According to what is reported today by Tuttomercatoweb.com, former Milan coach Marco Giampaolo, who is currently the tactician at Sampdoria, is keen on the idea of working with Gabbia once again.
The central defender who is 22 years old has given his approval to a move to Sampdoria. But, a deal must be found between both clubs. There's no agreement just yet as talks will likely start once Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara renew their own contracts. Sampdoria would like to sign Matteo Gabbia and have him available just in time for the team's training camp in Ponte di Legno.
