In the last few days, more reports have emerged about Francesco Acerbi being the low-cost target for AC Milan after missing out on signing Sven Botman who went to Newcastle.

But, some reports also have denied Milan negotiating for the player (like Antonio Vitiello). As per the latest update of Italian outlet SportMediaset, the negotiations to sign Acerbi seem to already be stalled now because Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have identified a different target to reinforce the defensive department for coach Stefano Pioli this summer.
AC Milan are eyeing up an old target from January's window. According to the source, the Rossoneri are back on the trail that leads to Abdou Diallo's signature. The Senegalese defender of Paris Saint-Germain is liked by the club management and they would be willing to sign him on loan with an optio to buy. As for the Ligue 1 outfit, they want more guarantees and would like to let him go on loan with an obligation to buy instead. The talks between both parties, though, are ongoing.
