AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have finally renewed their contracts with the club after a very long and tiring negotiation phase. Some time was lost, but there is also still important opportunities in the mercato for the club to make. After all, the transfer market has only just officially begun.

According to Milan News, one of the key points which Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara insisted was the operating powers regarding the transfer market window. The legendary Rossonero number 3 obtained freedom of action on the profiles to be worked on in the mercato without having the need to go through the board of directors and other members at Casa Milan.
This means greater flexibility in the decision-making phase to buy a player, but it does not mean that Maldini and Massara will have freedom in spending fees. In fact, they will still have to follow the general financial and budgetary guidelines and parameters imposed by the club higher management.
