AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini is present at Milanello for the first day of the training camp, with Frederic Massara and CEO Ivan Gazidis.
The former Rossonero number 3 has granted a brief statement to the microphones of Milan TV in view of this occasion and said this:
"Now we start again, the holidays were deserved. The season was fantastic. We still have the echo of last season, but we must remember how we got to this victory. Now we have to turn the page."
On the new season:
"I repeat, we must remember how we got there and forget what happened after Sassuolo. Now, we start again. Every year is different."
On the return of players to the training camp:
"We will have everyone available soon. There is a bit of that team spirit since many do not know each other, but from tomorrow it will be routine but also a special day."
Maldini on the World Cup which will be played in November this year:
"We have to get used to it. We got used to Covid, to suspensions, to matches without fans. We have to get used to it, it will be a season totally divided in two."
On the club's objectives:
"There is the preparation, the idea of certain objectives, the management of the group."
