AC Milan Women captain, Valentina Bergamaschi, gave an interview to the microphones of Sky Sport Italia a few days before the debut in the Women's European Cup against France, scheduled for this Sunday. Here are her words:
"The national team is the pinnacle of a dream... Because anyone who plays football I think wants to wear this shirt. Fighting for this nation, for these colours and getting results I think is the most beautiful and indescribable thing there is. I have acquired that maturity that has distinguished me at the World Championship. I became aware of my means and those of our team and I hope to give a great hand to this group which dreams big."
Valentina Bergamaschi added:
"I, too, am superstitious, we will try to do our best and get as far as possible and dream big. I agree with a phrase that I have often heard in a meeting that our coach said: 'we want to make a campaign where we will have to leave a trace, and we hope to play it openly against all the teams and nations, we know very well that we are strong'."
