AC Milan central defender, Alessio Romagnoli, has officially joined Lazio on a free transfer. The former club captain, upon his transfer to the Biancocelesti released an important statement in which he addressed the Rossoneri world: club and fans:
"Ciao, AC Milan. After seven years, the time has come to say goodbye. You welcomed me when I was a kid and now I leave as a man. AC Milan represents a family for me and they have been for all these seven years. We went through difficult moments, but then we took it all back with our interests, making an extraordinary feat."
"I want to thank all the people who work at Casa Milan and especially those at Milanello, with whom I shared unforgettable moments. I thank all the teammates I've had over the years, all the directors, and all the coaches. I would particularly like to thank Adriano Galliani and Mister Mihajlovic for bringing me to Milan; a special thanks goes to Mister Gattuso because, in addition to giving me the captain's armband, he was the most important person for me in my Rossoneri career", said Romagnoli before adding:
"Finally, I thank you, all the fans, for the constant affection and support and for always making me feel like one of you. Now the time has come to say goodbye, but the memory of an unforgettable experience and of what Milan meant to me will always remain in my heart. I hope to have entered your heart and to have left you a good memory as a footballer but above all as a man, because this is the thing I care about the most. I embrace you and see you soon as opponents, Alessio."
