Former AC Milan striker, and a winner of Ballon d'Or award, Jean-Pierre Papin spoke about his compatriot Mike Maignan who is the goalkeeper trusted by coach Pioli and all the Rossoneri fans. Here are his words:
"Maignan? I don't know if he will be able to overtake Lloris for World Cup in Qatar but the future is his. That he was very good with his feet is well known, but in Ligue 1, I had never seen him play the ball like last season", he told Sportweek.
Jean-Pierre Papin added:
"At Milan, he made enormous progress, also from a character point of view: on the pitch he is calm and confident as only great goalkeepers can be."
