La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's print edition highlighted a challenge within the derby game and it is: American ownership versus the Chinese ownership.
On the occasion of this afternoon's derby, RedBird founder and managing partner, Gerry Cardinale, will be present at San Siro, for his first match as the new owner of the AC Milan football club. The Italian newspaper wrote this following headline:
"The challenge of two worlds. Cardinal-Zhang and immediate history: the handshake today at the San Siro."
Perhaps the challenge of the next few years will be that between Cardinal and Zhang, which is also a challenge between America and China.
It will also be a time to meet for two leaders who might become business partners regarding the new stadium project. Gerry Cardinale will also meet the team today before the start of the match.
