Inter's boss, Simone Inzaghi, has reacted to the loss of his team in the derby against AC Milan. Here are his words:
"At the beginning it was a balanced match, then we scored an excellent goal. After the draw we had a half-hour blackout that cost us two goals. We should not concede their three goals. With what we created, we would have deserved the same, but that half hour left something to be desired and we could have done better."
Similarities with the game lost against Lazio?
"They were two different matches. In tonight's, we made a lot of effort to score two goals, we found a great goalkeeper in front of us. As against Lazio they score too easily. I am the coach and I will have to improve."
On the performance of his team:
"To win a derby, you have to do more, half an hour is not enough. In that empty period, Milan scored three goals, we only managed to score one."
Was there a problem with the player's mentally?
"Managing the moments is too important for our team, we must not have these blackouts that decided the match against opponents of absolute value such as Milan and Lazio. To score the two goals we had to do a lot of things under construction, they scored 3 goals that were too easy."
Simone Inzaghi concluded:
"If there are positives from the derby? Yes, but in this moment it burns me to have lost a derby, it burns me for our fans and for the club, we really cared. We had to do more, tonight there is so much regret and disappointment for having lost the derby."
