Alessandro Costacurta commented on Olivier Giroud at the end of the game between AC Milan and Dinamo Zagreb.
The French central forward said that he was happy to be on the pitch and to score, but he was not really satisfied for having to leave the pitch and be replaced: “I’m a little disappointed with the replacement but it’s normal I’m very competitive. I understood that the coach wanted me to rest but I always want to be on the pitch. It’s my passion and I always want to play.” (full interview here)
Costacurta, had the following to say to the Sky Sport Italia microphones:
“I didn’t like his words. If he plays, the others don’t play. The way he played today, he could stay on the bench and rest.”
