The AC Milan board of directors today approved the data relating to the 2021/22 financial statements of the club which closed on June 30th. As reported by Calcio e Finanza (and relayed by MilanPress.it), the Italian champions' revenues increased by 14% compared to the previous year, going from 261.1 to 297.7 million euros.
A positive EBITDA (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) was recorded.
As for the losses , they amounted to 66.5 million euros. In the previous year, they amounted to 96.4 million euros, while in the 2019/20 year they amounted to 194.6 million.
The AC Milan club also took the opportunity to benefit from the accounting revaluation of the “Milan” brand which went from a valuation of 35 million euros, dating back to 2005, to one that is now around 200 million euros . This will have no impact on the short-term income statement, but it does have an impact on the balance sheet.
