A bad day for Maurizio Ganz and his AC Milan Women's first team who were beaten 4-0 against their bitter rivals, Inter. A large loss always hurts and it hurts even more to lose in such a way against the rivals from the other side of the city.
The first half ended in Inter winning 3-0 and they only added one goal in the second half. Stefanie Van Der Gragt opened the score in the 9th minute. Then, the second came in the 34th minute and it was scored by Tabitha Chawinga.
The third goal followed shortly after in the 42nd minute as it was scored by Elisa Polli. She made it a brace for herself when she added the fourth goal in the 54th minute.
AC Milan had to do a lot better in the defensive phase but also in the attack. Only one shot from the Rossonere was on target against 7 from the Nerazzurre on target.
The AC Milan Women's team now sits in the 5th position with 9 points collected after 6 matches played. Inter are first with 16 points. Sampdoria are right behind Miln with 9 points also. But, they play tomorrow against Juventus.
