The Super League brekaway project is still on the plans and a possible relaunch is not excluded. Serie A preisdent Lorenzo Casini expressed himself at a press conference today and said the following about this topic:
"If the Super League was discussed in the assembly? No, there has been no mention of it. Obviously the clubs concerned had warned the Lega, we had been warned and it seems to me a programmatic step. The reasons behind the Super League are understood, now we are thinking differently, and it is obvious that the Lega is following the evolution of the affair with interest and concern."
Is it acceptable for Milan, Inter and Juventus to play in the Serie A and also Super League?
"In my opinion, it should be asked of UEFA before us."
You said the clubs concerned warned you about the return of the Super League. Is it a generic formula to refer to Juventus or does it mean that Inter and Milan are still involved the conversation?
"It's a formula that covers the clubs concerned."
Serie A president Lorenzo Casini on when the clubs warned him:
"Before it became public knowledge."
