AC Milan would like to add a reliable goalkeeper to the backup of Mike Maignan for next season as Ciprian Tatarusanu is unlikely to extend his expiring contract.
As per what is reported in this morning's print edition of Il Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan managers Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are aiming for Atalanta's Marco Sportiello who can be a free agent once the season ends.
The 30-year-old from Desio would gladly accept a move to the Rossoneri to play in the Champions League and be Maignan's deputy.
In the coming weeks, Milan will work with Sportiello's agents to secure the goalkeeper on a free transfer in June, concludes the report.
