Alexis Saelemaekers had more words to say about his experience with the AC Milan club so far and expectations for the second part of the season among other topics. Here are his words, as relayed by our correspondent Vito Angelè from Dubai.
"I think the second part of the season will not be so easy so we have to be ready and that's why we are here to prepare well and I feel the team is ready."
After scoring yesterday, are you optimistic?
"I worked hard to be here and yesterday in the game I was feeling good and I think I'm ready for the second part of the season."
How do you evaluate the results of AC Milan in the Dubai camp:
"They were difficul games. We had a 1-month break, it was not easy because we were just coming back. But now, I think the team is slowly becoming ready. I think that, for the second part of the season, we will be ready at 100%."
How do you see your experience with AC Milan since joining them?
"I feel really good here, I think Milan is like a family. All the new players are also feeling good and I'm really happy to be part of this club."
Saelemaekers on his idol:
"I have a few, but if I have to say one from Milan, then it would be Ronaldinho."
In the path to last season's Scudetto, what was the most difficult game?
"There were many difficult matches. But, I think I would say it's the last say because you have to be mentally prepared and everybody was thinking like 'Ok, this is the last game, so we're going to win the Championship for sure', but you have to perform in that day and I think for us, that was the most difficult match (Sassuolo)."
What are your expectations by the end of the season and for the Tottenham match in the Champions League competition?
"It will be difficult against Tottenham, but I think we have the team to make something and I hope we will win. For this season in Serie A, I think that the team is prepared so we play every game at 100% and we'll see how it will finish."
