AC Milan started the second part of the season in the best possible way as they beat Salernitana 1-2 thanks to excellent performances from Rafael leao and Sandro Tonali. The Portuguese left-winger showed his usual qualities and techniques and he proved once again why a renewal is so much needed to keep him at the San Siro for as long as possible.

According to what is reported by Tuttosport in this morning’s print edition, the Rossoneri are ready to put on the table a net salary per season at 7 million euros which could reach 7.2 or 7.5. That is the furthest that the red and black faithful could go.

The duration of the contract, on the other hand, is unknown yet. There are two ideas being considered by the club: either a long-term renewal, at least 4 more years. Or, a renewal until June 2025. The second idea would be to prepare for a future sale. But, these are just hypotheses.

At the moment, however, the Rossoneri club are making great efforts to renew Leao’s contract and there is willingness from all parties to continue together.
