AC Milan club was linked with a move for Houssem Aouar of Olympique Lyonnais. The Franco-Algerian is 24 years old with a contract expiring in June 2023

The player is certainly appreciated by the red and black club. However, in view of a transfer, it seems that Stefano Pioli prefers a different option.

According to what is reported by Calcio Style, the AC Milan head coach would rather continue to place his trust on the Spanish attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz and try to convince Paolo Maldini to make an offer to Real Madrid and try to sign him permanently.

Brahim Diaz would cost the Rossoneri coffers 22 million euros. However, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara seem unwilling to pay that amount of money as they do not want to exceed 20 million euros for the former Manchester City talent.

The first offer of AC Milan was immediately rejected by Real Madrid and it was around 15 million euros. We are waiting for the next development that will be known in a short period of time.

Hopefully, something will change in the coming games, maybe a change of formation and lineups…
