2023 started badly for AC Milan unfortunately. The club struggled a lot and lost two trophies in two days: an exit from Coppa Italia and a brutal loss against the bitter rivals Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana fixture in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Hakan Calhanoglu was quick to taunt his teammates as he spoke to the media after the derby saying how "Karma returns" and how him and his teamamtes "sent them home" and how they "devoured them".
Luca Serafini spoke about the result on Carlo Pellegatti's YouTube channel:
"Knowing how things are going at Milanello, Ibrahimovic and Pioli I think they have already hung them on the wall (Calhanoglu's words). Indeed, I had information: they are already hung in the locker room. Someone took care, I think Ibra himself, to write down the sentences said by the Inter players. 'We devoured them...
