Gianluca Di Marzio, Italian journalist, expressed his thoughts on the current moment of the AC Milan team during an interview with Sky Sport Italia:
"Pioli did well. Milan had suffered the strongest crisis among the clubs competing for the Champions League, both in terms of points and performances. Pioli found a solution, such as changing the playing system. He understood that there was a lack of cohesion and tried to create more solidity and security, enhancing players like Thiaw and giving the team mental confidence."
Di Marzio added:
"Milan have absolutely recovered. We'll see how they do without Leao (vs Fiorentina), but I believe that with De Ketelaere they could have an opportunity. It's not easy to play in bits and pieces, having to always prove yourself."
