Milan's Mayor, Giuseppe Sala, spoke about the situation regarding the new stadium for AC Milan and Inter clubs during his podcast "Buongiorno Milano". Here is his explanation following the meeting he had withthe Rossoneri club's owner Gerry Cardinale and Rossoneri CEO Giorgio Furlani, held on Wednesday:
"The Milan ownership has informed me that they need three weeks to study a master plan for La Maura, which would only concern the stadium and Casa Milan. I would like to make it clear that no one is forcing them to leave San Siro."
Sala continued:
"AC Milan and Inter no longer want to stay at San Siro, and it is my duty to do everything possible to find an alternative solution within the municipality of Milan."
