Dariusz Stalmach, the emerging talent from AC Milan, was expected to have an interview with the club's official channels around ten days ago, ahead of the Cagliari fixture. The tête-à-tête was intended to delve into his inspiring journey thus far. However, in a polite manner, the 17-year-old requested to reschedule the interview by a week, emphasizing his focus on pitch and training, as pointed out by La Gazzetta dello Sport in their website.
In essence, Stalmach wanted to focus only on the Atletico Madrid match in the UEFA Youth League, which was won, therefore securing a spot in the semi-finals of the competition.
Stalmach, a product of Gornik Zabrze, the same academy where Milik and Skorupski honed their craft, made his senior team debut at a tender age of 15 against Legia. He thereby became the fifth-youngest player to grace the league, trailing behind the likes of the German-Polish player, Lukas Podolski, who plied his trade with Inter. Scouts unearthed his potential, leading to his exit after racking up 22 professional games in the summer. This campaign, he has scored twice in 21 with AC Milan.
Stalmach's prowess lies in his right foot, an asset he displayed by completing four dribbles and retrieving eight balls against Atletico Madrid. The talented starlet exhibited all these attributes in the presence of Massara, Maldini, chief scout Moncada, and Stefano Pioli's technical crew.
