Three Italian clubs will be in the Champions League quarter finals we are talking about Serie A rivals AC Milan, Inter and Napoli.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan's president Paolo Scaroni has said these wods about a possible Derby della Madonnina in the biggest European stage. Here are his words:
"Undoubtedly, a EuroDerby would be a global media event. It would mean a lot for Milano, the only European city with two teams at this level in the Champions League. It confirms the urgent need to provide the two clubs with a new stadium to continue to compete at the international level."
Scaroni added:
"I would like all three Italian teams to have the chance to reach the semifinals. This would be a great success for Italian football and a boost to raise money. The eight teams still in the competition currently represent the best of European football. Whatever the draw, we will be ready to face a difficult but exciting challenge."
