In the remaining two matches, AC Milan need three points to secure a spot in the Champions League (they might need fewer if Roma and Atalanta don't win on Saturday). Two matches to go, and then the final assessment of the season will begin, although we can already anticipate it.

The Champions League campaign has been very positive, but the performance of Milan in the league has been truly disappointing. Milan won the Scudetto last season and this year was supposed to be one for confirmation, but in the league, the team has taken more than a step back. After the exclusion from the Champions League, Maldini made it clear: this Milan is not yet ready to fully compete in two competitions.

Therefore, at least five acquisitions will be needed to face these high-level obligations at the highest level in the summer.

Milannews explain that it doesn't mean that it's necessary to drop 300 million euros. Acquisitions refer to reinforcements, and players can also arrive on a free transfer or with a loan agreement, in other words, there are options to be carefully targeted. For example, among these five acquisitions, there could be Kamada, a very interesting player from Eintracht Frankfurt whose contract is expiring. With him, Milan would save on the transfer fee. Then another one will be needed in midfield after Bennacer's injury, and Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea is the ideal midfielder, box to box, that the management has in mind (as we told you in our editorial).

As for the other three acquisitions, Milan needs to focus on a right-winger,. A left-back is also necessary, finally giving some rest to Theo Hernandez who has been forced to play every match. And above all, a striker is needed. This Milan team requires a strong forward, a player who can score 15-20 goals per year.

In fact, a large part of the summer budget will be allocated to the striker position. Ibrahimovic might decide to retire, Origi is ready to leave, Giroud will stay for another season, but a significant reinforcement is necessary upfront. And the choice must not be wrong.
