AC Milan's German centre-back, Malick Thiaw, has spoken to BILD yesterday. Here are his words after the loss against Poland in the friendly match:
"The starting position in the next European Championship with Germany? That is my clear goal."
On the role of a central defender in the 3-man defensive setup of Hansi Flick:
"I need to communicate a lot in the middle, but I have two important people by my side. And above all, Antonio Rüdiger has helped me a lot from the first day."
Thiaw on AC Milan and his first year as a Rossoneri:
"It wasn't so difficult to adapt because I didn't expect to play right away when moving from Schalke to the Italian champion team... Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with how things are going in Milan, and I am incredibly grateful to Milan for giving me the opportunity to wear the Rossoneri shirt."
