AC Milan's coup last summer was Charles De Ketelaere. He arrived from Club Brugge for a fee around 32 million euros plus bonuses. The Belgian playmaker, though, failed to impress in his first season. Now, the question on every Rossoneri fan is: what does the future hold for this expensive signing after a disappointing year.
According to what is reported by Il Corriere della Sera, a departure seemed impossible a few weeks ago when Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara were still in charge, because they truly believe in his qualities and were willing to wait patiently for him to be unleashed. Now, though, the management is changed and the logic behind transfers changed with it, reportedly. That is why De Ketelaere's exit is now not really excluded.
As per the Italian newspaper, a potential transfer could only happen for a fee of no less than 28 million euros, in order to avoid making a loss in the balance sheet. In fact, even the idea of sending the player on loan is also considered.
