As reported today by TheAthletic (read here), Newcastle are getting closer to agreeing a transfer deal with AC Milan that would be worth around 70 million euros for Sandro Tonali.
Now, according to Italian journalist Luca Bianchin, Newcastle's sporting director Dan Ashworth is already in Milan as he tries to seal the deal with the Rossoneri management for the Italian central midfielder.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, however, there are no concrete offers from Newcastle at the moment: Today, there was a meeting between Milan and the player's agents to discuss how to proceed in case these significant interests, especially from Newcastle and Chelsea, materialize in the coming days.
It has been decided that the Rossoneri managers will listen to offers as the first option, and only after that, various options will be presented to the player. Even Stefano Pioli has not been informed about a hypothetical transfer of the player.
In fact, the player has asked his entourage to leave him in peace at this moment, as he is also busy with the Under 21 team. Therefore, any potential offer will be presented to him only if it becomes real and formal. But as of today, there are no formal offers to evaluate.
