Tijjani Reijnders spoke to the club's official channel after having signed on a contract with AC Milan. Here are his words as he expresses his thoughts:
"I am very happy and delighted to be here. I am also very proud to be part of this great club. When my agent told me that Milan was interested in me, I was excited and very happy. I was glad that a club of this caliber was interested in me, so the choice for me was very easy, honestly. I didn't have to think twice."
"When my father was young, he always watched van Basten and Gullit, he would always tell me about when they played for Milan and show me every possible video. They had a remarkable and incredible impact on this team. I am very proud to be the next Dutchman for this club. Last week, I was watching some videos with Ronaldinho, and he was my idol when I was younger."
Reijnders added:
"I've talked a lot with Teun (Koopmeiners), and he told me that life in Italy is very good. The Italian league is of a high standard and is perfect for growing as a player. Certainly, this also influenced my decision."
On his favourite role:
"I am a box-to-box midfielder who likes to play offensive football, create opportunities for teammates, or position myself to score. When it comes to defending, I never back down, so I consider myself a typical box-to-box midfielder."
