AC Milan are still working on the transfer market and Stefano Pioli is involved in the decisions while also being busy preparing for the the upcoming tour in the USA.
The departure to the United States is scheduled for tomorrow, and presumably, this will be the squad at the coach's disposal, excluding the surplus players who have already been cut (Origi, Rebic, and Ballo Touré). This also means that Yunus Musah, the 2002-born midfielder from Valencia and the team's last major target to reinforce the central midfield, won't be available.
According to what is reported by Calciomercato.com, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani have been in negotiations with Valencia's management for a while now regarding the American midfielder who is 20 years old.
Although there has been no formal offer, verbal negotiations are ready to be formalized. During the last summit, Milan raised its proposal, getting closer to the 20 million euros requested by the Spanish club, particularly by increasing the variable part of the deal with performance-based bonuses and team achievements, while the fixed part will remain around 13 million euros.
AC Milan are waiting for Valencia's approval to formalise the offer, and there is both optimism and urgency to try and close the deal. Today will be a crucial day because if the negotiations don't reach a positive conclusion, Milan will travel to the USA without the last addition in the midfield, and Musah will join Valencia's training camp in Switzerland, where he had been exempted from until now.
