AC Milan have signed several players this season already to reinforce different departments in Stefano Pioli's squad. But, a few more additions are not excluded in the last days of the transfer window. A real transfer coup may also be made. In particular, Romelu Lukaku is the one we're talking about as he is linked to a potential return to the San Siro, but this time through the gates of AC Milan.
According to Belgian journalist Florian Holsbeek, there are negotiations currently ongoing for the possible signing of Romelu Lukau. However, a deal is not easy as there are some important setbacks blocking the progress of the move.
The main issues are the transfer formulas. In fact, Chelsea would like to be able to get rid of Lukaku by inserting an obligation to buy in the loan deal. AC Milan, for their part, want to include a buy-option. Another issue would also be his salary once the transfer becomes permanent. The player earns high wages which could weigh heavily on the Rossoneri club's balance sheet.
