AC Milan are preparing for the delicate clash on Sunday afternoon away to Hellas Verona. It is a crucial match for the Rossoneri’s campaign in a league season that, up to now, has certainly been positive. However, they must not play with fire. The last two defeats have set off several alarm bells for the team coached by Massimiliano Allegri.
This is the Serie A season in which Rafael Leao, who has never scored at the Bentegodi against Verona in the top flight, has both his lowest average of successful dribbles (0.88 per match) and his lowest dribble success rate (40.4%). Furthermore, Milan have scored in 25 of their last 26 matches against Hellas Verona in Serie A (48 goals in total, an average of 1.85 per match), with the only exception being their most recent defeat against the Gialloblù in the competition (3–0 at the Bentegodi, with goals from Antonio Caracciolo, Moise Kean, and Daniel Bessa on 17 December 2017).
