Marco Pellegrino has presented himself to the media today as the newest AC Milan signing. Here are his words:
"When you start playing football, many dreams come to mind. I used to play with Platense until a few days ago, and it was already a dream. Now I'm here and everything has gone very well, it all happened very quickly.
How have you settled in so far?
"I've recently arrived, but I've already had several training sessions. The team is helping me a lot, and Pioli is a great person as well. He's assisting me from a tactical and technical perspective. Of course, we know Milan's history, one of the strongest and most important teams in the world. It's a huge responsibility to be here: it's wonderful."
Who are your idols?
"As I already mentioned, Sergio Ramos, but also Paolo Maldini from Milan."
How was your welcome?
"I arrived in Milan and found something new. I've seen the facilities, the team, and everything is incredible, the quality is very high."
You used to play tennis as well...
"As a child, I played both sports, but then I focused mainly on football. In tennis, you do everything on your own, you need to have personality, and that has helped me."
What did Martin Palermo tell you?
"He gave me my debut and always had faith in me, I'll never forget that. I talked to him and he said it would be something new."
Where do you feel most comfortable?
"I'm a central defender, but I've also played as a wingback in a three-man defense. Naturally, I see myself as a left central defender", Pellegrino said.
Many have compared you to Samuel.
"It's an honor, he's a historic player for Argentina. I'd really like to follow in his footsteps."

"We'll see... right now, I want to adapt to the team as best as I can. I'll make the most of my time here, and then we'll achieve our goals. For me, it's a big step forward. I'm here to listen to advice, increase my playing time, and get called up", declaref Pellegrino.
