AC Milan's search for the striker is ongoing. Many profiles have been linked with a move to the San Siro, and one name who has remained on the shortlist throughout the summer is Mehdi Taremi, the Iranian centre-forward of FC Porto.
As per our correspondent Vito Angelè, the contacts between the Rossoneri management and the representatives of the 31-year-old striker were never actually interrupted. The work is ongoing to find a possible solution with the Portuguese club.
In fact, AC Milan, who are aiming to sign a striker before the end of the transfer window, are hoping that Porto will reduce their financial demands after the weekend.
Mehdi Taremi is definitely an important player who will be able to add quality to the striker's position which is occupied by Frenchman Olivier Giroud. Last season, Taremi featured in 51 games, proving his availability (playing a total over 3800 minutes). He scored 31 goals and provided his teammates with 13 assists.
Milan wants to buy a striker before the end of the market. Contacts with Taremi's agent never ended. Rossoneri hope that Porto will lower its demand after the weekend
