AC Milan club management is evaluating contractual situations of different players at Milanello. Mike Maignan, as reported by Calciomercato.com, is a priority for Geoffrey Moncada, Giorgio Furlani and Antonio D'Ottavio's agenda. Soon, they will begin talks with the representatives of the French goalkeeper in hopes to try to extend and adjust his current contract economically. But, special attention is also paid to Olivier Giroud, Luka Jovic, Simon Kjaer and Antonio Mirante as well as Mattia Caldara.
The best feelings for the future are certainly with Olivier Giroud, who has started this new season brilliantly with 4 goals and 1 assist in the first 3 league matches. For the Frenchman, a renewal for another season is in sight and discussions with his entourage will be addressed between January and February.
As for Luka Jovic, everything will depend on the Serbian striker: Milan has given him a significant opportunity in a less exciting phase of his career; if he performs well, he will have great chances to stay with the Rossoneri for a few more seasons, otherwise, it will be goodbye in June.
For Antonio Mirante and Mattia Caldara, the coming months will be their last with Milan's jersey. The first due to a mere age-related matter, the second because he has never quite convinced. Simon Kjaer, on the other hand, deserves a separate discussion: the experienced Danish defender would like to end his career with the Rossoneri by extending for another two seasons, but Giorgio Furlani wants to wait for the answers from the field. This will be revisited at the end of the season.
