AC Milan's defender Fikayo Tomori began the press conference by talking about the derby, a match he missed due to suspension, and the game against Newcastle:
"The derby was tough to watch because I could only see it on TV without being able to help my teammates. Tomorrow I'll be on the field, hopefully, and we'll try to win to start the Champions League group stage on the right foot."
Tomori on facing his former teammate Sandro Tonali:
"Of course, it will be nice to see Sandro because we played many games together. However, we are professionals, so when the game starts, friendship doesn't exist. After the match, we can certainly start talking again, but during the game, we're not friends."
Tomori on his teammate Rafael Leao:
"Why can't he reach the levels of former Champions League stars? Since I arrived, Leao has improved a lot and he's very important for us. He demonstrated it in the last Champions League as well, and I think he will show his quality in tomorrow's match too."
