Gazztta: Milan will rely on these 4 alternatives in the next few matches as rotation is much needed

AC Milan, in the previous summer transfer window, have focus on reinforcing the team and also the bench. The idea is to provide alternatives to Pioli for the usual starters. In the next ten days, the Rossoneri are set to face four matches between the league and the Champions League, and we shall see if the backups will be ready to step up to the occasion.

This morning, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the special focus will be mainly on Yacine Adli, Samuel Chukwueze, Luka Jovic, and Noah Okafor.

As for the French player, in the past season he had practically never found space (only 140 minutes), but now with the injuries of Rade Krunic, in addition to that of Bennacer, it will also be up to the former Bordeaux player to take the field as a defensive midfielder. Samuel Chukwueze will also have his chances: he has already started in the Champions League against Newcastle, but without great numbers on the right wing. He will have to replace Pulisic on the right and prove that Milan was right to invest a significant amount of money in him: 20 million euros plus 8 million euros in bonuses. He was Milan's most expensive signing of the summer.

Also in attack, Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor will have important roles in the upcoming matches: for Pioli, the former is the real alternative to Olivier Giroud and will probably be a starter already on Wednesday against Cagliari. Giroud has played all the matches so far, and against Verona, he seemed a bit weary and tired.

It will be up to the Serbian player not to make us miss him in the center of the Rossoneri trident. Sooner or later, Rafael Leao will also need to rest, and at that point, it will be crucial for Milan to receive positive responses from Okafor as well.
