Important step forward for AC Milan regarding the construction project of the new stadium. As told yesterday, the club submitted a request for a variation to the municipality of San Donato.
President Paolo Scaroni commented on this and already speculated on the first possible date to see a match in the new facility.
"We have submitted", Scaroni said, "The request for a variation to the municipality of San Donato. It's a moderate variation, because already there were plans for sports-related constructions that will be replaced by our stadium, which will be the most beautiful in the world. It will have 70,000 seats, a significant capacity, larger than many European stadiums of our competitors. We take into account how devoted our fans are, and already today we consistently have around 70,000 fans at the stadium."
"It will be a sustainable stadium; we will have much easier access for everyone, and we will maintain the wonderful aspect we already have at San Siro, a vertical stadium where you can see the matches well. If everything goes as we expect, I anticipate seeing the stadium built and the first match in 2028."
