In an interview with the official website of Borussia Dortmund, Mike Tullberg, the coach of the Borussia Dortmund U19 team that lost to Milan Primavera in the UEFA Youth League competition, spoke of Abate's Rossoneri team as follows:
"We have already played against some exceptional teams in the UEFA Youth League, but Milan has exceptional quality, played in a really mature way. Milan is a cohesive team, has shown excellent football, especially in the first half. The Rossoneri circulated the ball quickly and with great confidence, made almost no mistakes and clearly dominated the game. They punished our mistakes, while we lacked courage. But it must also be admitted that our young team cannot yet compete with Milan."
Dortmund's youth team coach continued:
"After the changes, things seemed to be going better overall, but Milan had already shown us our limits. I still have to compliment the team because they never gave up. Our boys can only learn from games like this. Milan is definitely one of the big favorites to win the UEFA Youth League this season."
