AC Milan's Yacine Adli has spoken exclusively to those at SportMediaset and said these words:
"Genoa-Milan? It was a tough match and we knew it. We tried to find solutions against a very defensive team. But we showed our spirit, always believing, the desire to score until the end; in the final minutes, it was a strange match, but we once again demonstrated our spirit."
Everyone is discovering you now...
"Now I play a bit more, but I always try to learn and grow. I'm doing well, but it's only the beginning: I want to continue growing, and I'm at the coach's disposal. I'm just trying to learn."
When did Pioli make you understand that it could be a different season for you?
"Pioli has always been close to me, he always made me feel part of the team by giving me advice. One incident gave me a lot of confidence: before Roma-Milan, the first match after the transfer market closed, Pioli came to me and told me he was very happy that I stayed at Milan. He gave me a lot of confidence."
Yacine Adli on the new role he's playing:
"I like it a lot, but I have a lot to learn. I work to grow in every training session, but I'm happy because now I'm playing and I can measure my progress."
Paolo Sousa said you're technically the new Zidane...
"I'm just Yacine Adli. Pirlo and Zidane are fantastic players, it's difficult to reach that level. I try to do my best for Milan: that's what matters to me."
Bennacer left you a nice message...
"He's like a brother. But we also have a good relationship with Rade. Competition gives a lot to the team: the more competition there is, the stronger we are, the more we want to win. We're all ready to help the team. Off the field, we're very good friends."
What was the effect of San Siro on your debut?
"It's an incredible stadium, I can't describe what I felt. What pride to be on the field and feel all the fans like that. I'll never forget the standing ovation when I left the field, it was a dream."
Yacine Adli on the new fans chants:
"I've always had the soul of a fan, I learned them by listening. I really like 'Banditoooo', but also 'Forza diavolo alè' (Adli sings the whole chant)."
On Sunday there's Milan-Juve.
"We're in first place, but the road is long. We want to win something important and that goes through every match. Against Juve, it's important, but there will be many more after that."
On the Scudetto goal:
"When you're Milan, you play to win: the Scudetto is one of our goals, but we don't put too much pressure on ourselves and we don't talk about it every day; we're focused on our work and we give our best in every match."
Half-hearted with PSG? Yacine Adli replied:
"At this level, there's no half-heartedness, I fight for my team. Paris was an important step for me, but today I'm proud to be at Milan and I'll give everything for Milan."
Do you dream of scoring a goal?
"It's a dream, not an obsession. Winning is more important."
Are you willing to shave your head in case of Scudetto?
"No, that can't be", replied Yacine Adli.
Who's in the Scudetto race?
"There are many teams: Juve, Inter, maybe Atalanta, Napoli, Lazio... It will be a highly contested championship with very difficult matches."
Believe in you because...?
"Believe in me because I'm kind. I'll always give my best, everything for Milan, but above all, believe in the team."
