AC Milan's coach, Stefano Pioli, spoke on DAZN before the match against Lecce. Here are his statements:
"The goal is to try to play well, to try to win the game knowing that there may be difficulties against an opponent with structure and stamina. We will have to be especially careful when we have the ball, but also when we don't."
How is Ruben Loftus-Cheek?
"He returned after 40 days, had an exceptional game in terms of technique and fitness (vs PSG). He comes with us to be with the team, but he is unlikely to play because he hasn't fully recovered from the effort. Pobega, for his characteristics, will have to fit in, like Reijnders and everyone else, when the right opportunities arise."
Leao scored his only headed goals against Lecce, Pioli commented:
"Rafa knows what he needs to do to be useful in our offensive phase. The second goal we scored on Tuesday was because he was inside the box and battled with Hakimi on a cross. Clearly, he needs to stay inside the box, have the right timing: he has the necessary physicality and knows what he needs to do."
