The ambition of Thiago Motta's Bologna goes hand in hand with that of Alexis Saelemaekers. The Belgian winger has chosen to challenge himself, moving from a big team to a smaller one, albeit with high-level objectives, to demonstrate his true worth.
The former Anderlecht player wants to return to the Belgium national team, and he succeeded thanks to his good performances in Serie A so far. However, now, he aims to score his first goal with Bologna.
Bologna, last summer, had concluded the deal with Milan which saw Salemeakers join them on a loan which cost 500 thousand euros plus a buy-option which was set around 11 million euros.
Sporting director Sartori is confident in renegotiating the agreement at the season's end; the desire to keep Alexis in the squad is firm.
We should not forget, however, that AC Milan might be interested in some players from the Bologna squad, such as 22-year-old Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee and 24-year-old Scottish attacking midfielder Lewis Ferguson, writes Calciomercato.com.
