In the match against Fiorentina last Saturday at the San Siro, AC Milan played without Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman is serving a two-match suspension, but it does not apply to the UEFA Champions League competition, of course.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea centre-forward, who has recently celebrated making 100 appearances for the club will be in the starting lineup against Borussia Dortmund tonight at the San Siro.
Speaking about the experienced striker, Il Corriere dello Sport explained that Giroud would like to continue breaking records at Milanello, then he will think about the future.
The 37-year-old veteran attacker wants to break the 40 goal barrier in the Champions League.
As for a possible contract extension, he is convinced that he can stay at Milan for another year. The negotiations between the parties involved, though, will be started in a few months, for now he will focus on the Borussia Dortmund goal and try to score.
This season, Giroud has proved himself very useful again for Stefano Pioli, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists to his teammates in 15 matches played.
